Crownwell Petroleum is an indigenous and proudly Nigerian oil & gas exploration company incorporated in 1993. The company was awarded the Oil Prospecting Licenses for OPL 305 and OPL 306 during the infamous 1993 block bidding round.

ESTIMATED RESERVES OF NATURAL GAS
1.2TCF of Natural Gas. This exceeds the 1TCF of gas discovery in the Eni Obiafuk-Obrikom fields in OML 61.
Eni encountered the significant gas and condensate accumulation within the deltaic sequence of Oligocene age comprising more than 130m of high quality hydrocarbon-bearing sands.
The find amounts to about 1 trillion cubic feet of gas and 60 million barrels of associated condensate in the deep drilled sequences.
These Eocene - Oligocene age sequences can also be found in OPLs 305 & 306. Crownwell plans to concentrate on the sustainable production of Natural Gas without flaring adhering to Nigeria’s signatory of the Global Gas Flaring Partnership (GGFR) principles.
HIGH CRUDE OIL PROSPECTIVITY
The OPLs are highly prospective for crude oil mining, they both strongly fall within 40Billion barrels Bitumen Tar Sand belt.
Block 305 and 306 contains conservative estimate of 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
The evaluation of the Block and estimation of resources based on regional integrated geoscientific studies, and some onshore seismic data.
Estimates are based solely on the presence graben-related traps, however Aje & Seme field discoveries indicate that actual reserves could be double the figures stated above, the additional reserves suggested could be recovered from other traps not related to known graben traps.
